I've been obsessing over YouTube lately and after watching almost 20 videos the other day I decided to make a list of some products I wanted to try. It's been so long since I've bought any new make-up/beauty products.
I've been using the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 foundation and I LOVE IT!! I get incredibly flawless coverage and it lasts ALL day!! But, the bottle I originally bought was a few shades too dark (832 - Nude Beige). I've been using it VERY lightly and with a light/translucent powder because I couldn't bring myself to buy another bottle when that one was brand new...but I'm starting my new job on Monday so I wanted to get me some new products to make sure I'm looking my best!
The shade on the left is the new one, it's shade 810 - Classic Ivory and the shade on the right is 832 - Nude Beige. Classic Ivory looks a little light on my hand, but it's a perfect match for my face/neck, and as it gets warmer and I spend more time outside I'll be able to blend the two together to match my skin tone as I get a little more tan. I don't use tanning beds (anymore, I used to all the time and even worked at a few tanning salons) and I don't use self-tanners either. I've really learned to love and embrace my pale porcelain skin. The CoverGirl foundation was $9.59 in store before tax.
Nicole Guerriero posted a video on her YouTube channel about this product, which is why I wanted to go and get it. I haven't tried it yet, in fact I rarely use a primer at all (GASP!! I know...) but I feel like it's time to start and I'm hopeful that this will really help amp up my look and make it last longer and be even more flawless. I'll let you know what I think about it. The L'oreal Pore Vanisher was $19.99 in store before tax.
I NEVER used to do anything with my brows but give them a little brush. BUT, over the last couple months I've been using the Milani Brow Fix Brow Kit and I wanted to try a pencil out to see if I like it better. So, I got these two products and we will see how they work. The Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil & Gel and the Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil were $6.49 in store before tax.
Next, I got this Maybelline Line Stiletto Eye Liner. I've never been a
big eyeliner wearer because I've never been able to able to master the
cat eye...so I got this to practice and I'll let you know how it goes. This was $5.99 in store before tax.
Last, but certainly not least, I got the L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara. Let me just say, I don't think I've EVER heard anyone say a bad thing about this mascara. Seriously, I posted a picture of it on my personal Instagram & I had two of my friends comment instantly saying how much they loved it! So, I'm excited to try this one! I've been using CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion which I really liked, but I've been using it for a couple years and I'm ready to try something new. I got the L'oreal mascara for $5.89 in store before tax.
So, that's it for today's haul. In total (in store, before tax) I spent $54.44 and I got 6 products, that's about $9 per product if you break it down that way - I think that's pretty cheap. I got a lot of new stuff to try and I'll be sure to let everyone know what I think about all of it once I've tried it out!! I'm excited to be getting back in to make-up and beauty products, it's been too long and I've really missed it.
